A state-of-the-art firing range has officially opened in Subic Freeport, offering a new venue for gun enthusiasts and law enforcers to hone their shooting skills.

Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) Chairman and Administrator Eduardo Jose L. Aliño announced the launch of the Subic Freeport Shooting Range Inc. on Tuesday. Located along Corregidor Highway in Ilanin Forest, the facility represents a P25-million investment.

Designed to promote target shooting as a sport and develop world-class shooters, the range is set to attract both amateur and professional marksmen.

The inauguration was led by Aliño and the SBMA Board of Directors, joined by renowned Filipino shooters Jethro Dionisio and Khalil Viray.

Spanning 3,000 square meters, the facility is housed in a former U.S. naval building (Building 2027) and includes an indoor shooting range measuring 100 square meters. The company has secured a 25-year lease for the site and currently employs 15 workers.

A special arrangement allows SBMA Law Enforcement personnel to use the facility free of charge for training purposes.

The new range is expected to boost Subic Freeport’s appeal as a hub for recreational and professional shooting activities.
